BEHIND THE PAINTING:

It was inspired by the song "Maroon".

I wanted to incorporate every "red" she mentions in the song. So the lyrics that inspired the painting were:
1. Maroon. (background).
2. The burgundy on my t-shirt.. (lips and nails).
3. Your roommates cheap-ass screw top rose (cheeks).
4. The rubies that I gave up (earring).
5. So scarlet it was..(hair).
6. The rust that grew between telephones (telephone).
